Attracting investment into the regional economy is one of the most important tasks of the regional administration, because investment policy determines the potential of the economy, the vectors of its development and its growth.

The Agency for Attracting Investments of the Kursk Region was established in the region, it carries out work on the selection of land plots for the creation of industrial parks and investment sites that can be offered to potential investors for the construction of industrial enterprises.
There is a Council for the Improvement of the Investment Climate and Investor Relations, whose main task is to make decisions on the most important issues in the investment field.
Annual events are held to promote the investment potential of the region. One of the main ones is the Central Russian Economic Forum, which takes place on the days of the Kursk Korensk fair.

Kursk region is a dynamically developing industrial and agrarian region. The territory of the region covers an area of 30,000 square kilometers and is located at the intersection of the most important transport and trade routes of Russia, connecting the west and east, north and south.
Kursk region is part of the Central Federal District, it borders on 5 regions of the Russian Federation: Bryansk, Oryol, Lipetsk, Voronezh and Belgorod. The region is located in a favorable climatic zone, good for intensive farming and animal husbandry.
Two railway lines, Moska-Kharkov and Voronezh-Kiev, pass through the territory of the region; there are 3 large railway junctions: Kursk, Lgov, Kastomay a. The motorways and the railway network connect the Kursk region with Moscow, St. Petersburg and other cities of Russia, industrial centers of Ukraine and the Caucasus.
Through the territory of the Kursk region pass oil and gas pipes, as well as public roads of federal significance. Air communication is carried out through the terminals of the Kursk airport, which has international status.
The region has high energy availability and reserves of electric power capacities due to the work of the Kursk NPP. The region’s share in the production and distribution of electricity, gas and water in the Russian Federation is 1.3%. More than 70% of the generated electricity is supplied to 19 regions of Russia.
Kursk Region is located in the center of the Kursk Iron Ore Province, known as the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly, providing raw materials to Russian and foreign metallurgy.
The region has a unique wealth-large reserves of black soil (about 80% of land). Favorable natural and climatic conditions, territories for effective farming make it possible to provide ecologically clean food products not only to the population of the region, but also to other subjects of the Russian Federation.
